Creative Collaborations & Community Projects

Studio Absent has always existed beyond tattooing.

We've been interested in creating experiences where art, fashion, community and tattoo culture naturally intersect. Over time, these projects became opportunities to bring people together through exhibitions, flash events, fashion collaborations and community initiatives throughout Melbourne.

SUB Club Melbourne × Studio Absent

Our first exhibition project hosted at The Sub Club Melbourne, bringing together art, tattoo culture and community. The event was supported by Bao Project through food sponsorship and marked an important step in creating experiences beyond traditional tattoo appointments.

Tibbs & Bones × Studio Absent

A collaboration with Melbourne clothing brand Tibbs & Bones through a flash tattoo event and Emo Party experience. The event combined fashion, music and tattoo culture into a shared creative space.

Billy Bones × Studio Absent

Creative collaboration bringing together flash tattoos, fashion and community through an immersive event experience. Supported by FELLR.

From Me 2 You × Studio Absent

Creative giveaway collaboration combining visual storytelling, fashion culture and tattoo experiences.

Sani Melbourne × Studio Absent

Coffee-inspired flash event combining cafe culture with tattoo experiences and community interaction.

Sea Shepherd × Studio Absent (Upcoming)

In July, Studio Absent will collaborate with Sea Shepherd Australia for a flash event where part of proceeds will be donated toward ocean conservation efforts. One week before the event, Studio Absent and the community will also organise a St Kilda Beach Clean Up event.
