Behind Studio Absent

Studio Absent was built with the idea that a tattoo studio could become more than a place for appointments.

We've always been interested in creating a space where art, people and culture naturally intersect. Tattooing remains at the centre of what we do, but community and creative expression have always been part of the process.

One of these moments came through Sub Level.

Sub Level — Curated by Vacant

Our artist Vacant organised and curated Sub Level, the first exhibition hosted within Studio Absent. The exhibition brought together multiple artists and transformed the studio into a shared creative space beyond tattooing.

The event became an important moment for the studio and community, with participating artists successfully selling work during the exhibition. More than the artworks themselves, it represented something we care deeply about — creating opportunities for artists to share their work, connect with people and grow together.

As Studio Absent continues evolving, our goal remains simple: create meaningful work and meaningful experiences.
